This is a pretty slick piece of equipment! It never occurred to me that my lights could be remotely controllable. It saves a lot of money because you don't need assistants to constantly move your lights to accommodate the model's height or the scene's lighting. It is pricey, but it's worth it in my opinion. I don't have the optional fast charger, but that also seems like it would come in handy.

This robo-mount for COB studio lights is pretty great. The remote is simple, but able to control all movements. It's worth noting that the cable for connecting the remote control looks like a standard USB-C cable, but it isn't. You have to use the cable that came with the kit for controlling the mount's motion. Luckily, the remote cable is an appropriate length. With the motor mounted atop my 9' light stand, the remote control hangs about a foot off the ground (8' cord length), but is perfectly reachable.The motor housing is a combination of thick, solid plastic and aluminum alloy (for the bowens mount). The motion is smooth and precise. I had no trouble pointing a light exactly where I wanted it. The light stand mounting port on the bottom of the housing attaches very securely to my light stands with the included thumb screws.
