We decided to put gutters on our large garden shed to collect rain water. First we put a small finishing nail on each side of the fascia board with one further down then the other for the proper drainage slope and then used a string to be able to mark where exactly the gutter fasteners will go. We checked along the string with a level that everything will drain correctly and installed the fasteners accordingly to the string line. We then fastened a standard 4 inch aluminum gutter with these fasteners to the fascia board and it was very easy to install them. The hangers say 5 inch but that is the top gutter measurement and it is for standard 4 inch gutter purchased at a big box store.. We can recommend these "Moxweyeni 10 Pack Gutter Hangers 5 Inch" as install is very easy with them.
