Easy to read and the pages lay flat. The fingering is fine. The music is perfect, of course, because it’s Mozart!

A number of people said the only problem with this book was that it didn't stay open on the piano. Having a number of books that have the same problem I was prepared to adapt to it. However, to my delight this book opens flat from the first page to the last - it's delightful! Perhaps they are binding it differently now, but it's grand and don't let the worry of that keep you from purchasing.

Mozart was aight. I never realized how much Cypress Hill and Mozart have in common until I played these sonatas while simultaneously listening to Insane in the Membrane.

When I finally realized that the Mozart Sonata book I was using was fifty years old, I went looking for a replacement I bought myself this edition. I love it. Easy to read and nice paper. The only personal caveat I have is that as the edition I have played from for so long was bigger, with slightly smaller notes, so the page turns come in different places. Something for me to have to get used to, but not a drawback if you are learning the music for the first time.

Hubby plays the piano, and wanted some Mozart sonatas. He muddled over the offerings on Amazon, but did not decide on any edition. So I took up the chase, and thanks to the reviewers of several other editions, landed on this one. He loves it, and has already begun to play from it. He is 76, and is back to the piano after a nearly 50 year hiatus. We will get him the second volume soon. If the pages begin to fall out, there is plenty of room in the "gutter" area of the book to have it spiral bound. Even so, the binding seems solid. The cover and paper seem to be high quality, and the text is clear and well printed with no areas of pale printing. He was happy to have the "urtext" as well.

The only complaint I have is that it doesn't stay open on its own. One of the reviews said that there was no reason to get it re-bound for this purpose, but there is most certainly every reason to do so. It would make it much more convenient with a different binding. But the music and publishing otherwise are beautifully done.
