These popes are made with the cheapest plastic possible. Very low quality! First time using them for a national car show and one of the bases separated causing all the sand to leak out in my car & on the show floor. You HAVE TO fill the base of these with sand or gravel (where the heck do you get gravel?!) in order to use them at all because the cheap plastic is light you can't connect two poles with plastic chain more than a few feet apart without them tipping over. WHAT A RIPOFF. And I pre-ordered them for this show couple of months ago, only taking them out of the box yesterday morning so Amazon will not allow a return. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$ on these low quality poles!!!!

It looks great and worked great with the rope but after I hung the rope it was too heavy and tipped over, so I had to fill the base with gravel to secure it. And then it worked like a charm!

I read the reviews before making this decision and I am not upset about my purchase. I loved them. They set the mood perfectly for our convention and helped with traffic flow Immensely. I purchased them because I travelQuite a bit and couldn’t see adding hundreds of pounds only I my trailer just for stanchions and rope. These are so light weight! I ordered a total of 24 posts with 200 feet of chain and was able to place them ALL in the same box and stillLift it myself.You MUST add water to the bottoms for themTo stay up with the chain attached. But water is free in most areas and you can dump it before leaving! Plus much easier to clean verses sand.I definitely would purchase these again.

Does its job and sets up easily. Have to add sand, but vs the metal ones that dont require sand will cost 10x more money.

The stanchions were exactly as advertised however one set of 6 came without the hanger attachment so they are not usable. I tried to find a way to contact seller but couldn't so leaving a review instead, hoping they contact me to send me the parts.

This stanchion is made of very lightweight plastic. If you use it outside, just hope it won't be very much wind. I imagine a light wind will turn it over. I bought this as a prop for an indoor event, so it should work perfectly. It's ok for the price.

Good value for the money. Breaks down to easily stored pieces when not in use. Ability to weigh base down with easy to fill/empty with sand or pebbles a plus.
