MR DJ DXO200 PRO PA DJ Club Stereo 2 Way Plus Subwoofer Crossover with XLR Input & Output
MR DJ DXO200 is the perfect addition to any sound reinforcement system. Designed for live sound and fixed-install applications. The DXO200 is an audio crossover. Audio crossovers are a class of electronic filters used in audio applications. Most individual loudspeaker drivers cannot cover the entire audio spectrum from low frequencies (think subwoofers) to high frequencies (think tweeters) with sufficient relative volume and lack of distortion. The inputs and outputs are both balanced XLR and 1/4" jacks. Connect your sound source to the XO2 input and output to your amplifiers to power your speakers. The controls will allow you to split your bands and send the low frequencies to your subwoofer speakers, mid-range frequencies to the horn drivers and mid-range speaker boxes, and the high frequencies to your tweeters. Properly channeling the correct frequency to the right speakers is the proper way of designing sound and speaker fields.

I like this particular design with the subwoofer output. All the pots are increment detented at 2dB, very nice. Has about a 98-100dB pass-thru s/n & amazingly transparent in a bi-amp config. Not sure how it would fare plugged into a live audio scenario, handling a stereo buss output from a live mixer, but for my home bi-amp set-up, it's fine. My only quip is that the subwoofer pot is already getting scratchy (in a relatively dust-free environ) & i've only had it for about a month. Other than that, it's nice, i like.
