Needed a small flat screwdriver to wedge and rotate in order to disconnect the previous puck from the lights with the individual wires. Its just pressure installed, not a locking tab, so you might just have to keep wiggling it open a tiny bit at a time to slowly separe the old puck from the black and white light fixture wires. Connecting the new puck was the easiest part.
