Saw started running bad last winter. I replaced the carburetor and it did not help so I set it aside and used another saw. I recently decided to address the problems with the saw. It would not start and I diagnosed a bad ignition module. Ordered module from Amazon. New module started the saw, the saw ran for 30 seconds and died. Module had failed. Purchased module from local dealer for $44.00. Saw started and ran but bogged. I blamed the carburetor and ordered a replacement from a different vendor on Amazon.Installed replacement carb, saw ran but bogged. Went on U-Tube and researched symptom. Found that a clogged screen in the muffler can cause bogging. Pulled muffler and screen was totally clogged. Cleaned screen and muffler. Saw now runs and cuts like new. There was nothing wrong with the first Amazon carb I replaced and now I have a good spare. If the saw bogs, check the muffler!!!!
