This design is far superior to the metal hoop style with threaded metal shaft. I have bent those styles. This one has strong rubber strap that flexes instead. If anything it would be nice if they had a XL version to hold even larger punches and chisels. Still this works with every one I have needed so far.

I like this tool so much that I gave one to a friend. I use this to hold punches that I use to set nails. Had to set a bunch of siding box nails next to some edges that I did not want to hit. I need to concentrate on keeping the punch on the nail not getting a good hit on the punch. If I use a punch, I use this punch holder. Have used it with 3/8 up to 1 inch diameter punches. You only need one. It can quickly be adjusted to the diameter of the tool. I have not hit myself since getting this punch holder. Have hit the holder a few times and it is holding up.

This tool holder does exactly what a tool holder should do, but most don’t. It holds the tool firmly in a manner that the tool can be struck confidently with a hammer!
