The MSR Evo Ascent Snowshoe Kit offers everything needed for winter hikers exploring snowy backcountry terrain, including MSR Evo Ascent Snowshoes, DynaLock Explore Backcountry Poles, and a Carry Bag/Backpack with seat cushion. The aggressive 22-inch snowshoes weigh 3 lbs 5 oz and are ideal for hiking off trail into more variable and rugged backcountry terrain—featuring steel traction for grip, a durable injection-molded deck for floatation, and MSR’s Televator heel lifts to assist with climbing steeper slopes. The DynaLock Explore Backcountry Poles weigh 1 lb 3 oz and are made of 3 sections, allowing them to collapse small (to 24.5 in) for easy packing. In challenging terrain and conditions, the poles offer added support and are adjustable to accommodate different heights and slopes (summer and winter baskets included). The 19-liter Carry Pack doubles a storage solution for snowshoes and poles and functions as a day backpack for winter adventures. The pack features backpack straps, a roll-top closure, internal zippered pocket, pole loops, and removable seat cushion for comfort during lunch breaks—completing the all-in-one MSR Evo Ascent Snowshoe Kit. Manufacturer's 3-year limited warranty.

This was a great kit for both the snowshoes and poles since I was originally looking at just the snowshoes but ended up needing new poles as well. The snowshoes are around 22-24 inches long, giving okay floatation for the length. If you want to use these in fresh powder I recommend getting the Evo Tail extensions as they provide an extra 6 inches of floatation and work great for fresh and deep snow. The snowshoes by themselves have great grip, bindings, and compatibility. The heel lifters are nice as well. Bought them for snowshoeing in the Pacific Northwest mountains, and so far they have not disappointed. The poles are also really good quality and come with two exchangeable baskets for regular hiking and snow hiking. The poles are sturdy and easy to adjust, making them great for any kind of hiking scenario, snowshoes or not. The bag is good for storing and transporting the poles and snowshoes, and I can even through in my Gators and attach my mittens for an easy-to-transport package. Would not personally use the bag for an actual hiking bag though, but it is a nice inclusion since it didn't add to the price with just the snowshoes and poles alone. Right now as of writing the poles alone are 120$, the snowshoes alone are 240$, and this package is 250$. Honestly, this was a steal for the price compared to the others by themselves.
