If your e24 or e28 has lost it's precise steering or has excessive rear camber you might need new subframe bushings. I wore out several sets of high performance summer tires due to the excessive rear camber. Finally the steering just got sloppy. Enough was enough. I used the sawsall approach, carefully cut the old bushings out and pressed the new ones in using a jack with a tow chain wrapped over the subframe and under the jack. Overall about a 4 hour job. Not really that bad. Shouldn't have put it off so long.The part looked OEM perfect. Should be good for another 100K + miles!
