Replaced my bent manual PTO Lever on my 42 inch cub cadet. This unit was about 1/3 the cost of what my dealer wanted and it seems to be of equal quality of the original. Replacing these are not easy, but if you have an average mechanical ability and a lot of patience, it's doable.

My ex-son in law used his arm strength instead of his brain and bent the original PTO lever. I tried bending the old one but it was too far gone so I got this one. Great price and the mower works perfectly now.

This product will work perfect. Problem with them bending is that there is another spring on deck for stopping the blades. That spring is to strong and this is what caused the handle to bend. It takes too much force to engage. If other spring is removed the handle engages very easy and will not bend and blade belt is very tight. Blades will take a second or two to stop. This is for safety. You can find a very much less stiff spring and replace it with that. Then safety stop will work and lever will not bend. I learned this the hard way. This is my third handle. Also the blade belt will stay tighter and will not slip and belt will last longer. So it is not the handle that is weak. Mower is a poor design

This PTO lever was a perfect fit for my cub cadet 1040 ltx. It seems to be better made than the original that broke. However, it does not come with a handle, and the original rubber handle does not come off. Would have gone 5 stars because of the heavy duty construction, but the handle issue made me go with 4 stars.
