This is the exact same part that broke on my mower. I guess sitting out in the UV rays of the sun cooks them and makes them brittle over the years. These are sold at a decent price and should last the life of the mower if you store it out of the sun.

If you need one this will hit the spot, if you don't need one it is a waste of money until you do need one and then you'll be happy you have it - I would highly recommend it to my mom if she needed one (which she doesn't)...

Works as advertised. Highly recommend using a flat washer and lock washer to help secure the knob wing in place. No problems in using this setup.
