It was a bit smaller than I expected but still has a good feel to it. I haven't tested it yet but out of the box it has a nice edge on it, an axe doesn't need to be super sharp anyway. The weight is distributed well and most of it rests on the head, I'm not crazy about the grip though, it feels a bit slick. I never worried about my SOG slipping away but this one is slicker. So far im pleased aside from it almost being pocket sized

So far this is a really good hatchet, it's gonna need some sharpening but after that it works wonders. I've used it to make cleaning small game easier the only problem I have is the handle is made of plastic that sucks for cold weather but I replaced it with paracord. Overall it's a great tool and I love it.

this is in my emergency off road bag. it has come in handy chopping wood for bon fires and takes up very little space. it is nice to hold in my had and gives you some good striking force for such a little axe. i have even used it to do a little garden trimming on some branches. it came pretty sharp too. i havent needed to sharpen it yet. not my first mtech and wont be my last

smaller than I thought but seems like a nice little ax for trimming brush. could also be used as an ulu for cleaning game. more of a cleaver than an ax
