Photos show the rounds with projectile pointed up, but I put them in with the case nose down and rim facing up. I have different colors of boxes for different calibers, and label them with the end of the original ammo boxes showing caliber and projectile weight. Some .300 AAC Blackout are shorter and their bullet ogive is harder to grasp. In addition, it makes it much easier to pick up ten rounds at a time with a speed loader that uses their extraction rims to hold the rounds while they're being pushed into a magazine. Slide the speed loader - or a stripper clip - over the base of the cartridges in a row and pick them all up. A standard capacity magazine can be loaded in three whacks of ten rounds at a time in about 10-15 seconds. Storage with these also helps inhibit corrosion from humidity during long-term storage, which original manufacturer cardboard boxes will absorb and retain. Putting the ammunition in these plastic boxes prevents corrosion from moisture laden cardboard.

I USE THIS FOR .223 REM AND THEY FIT GREAT WITH LITTLE TO NO WIGGLE. IT WOULD WORK FOR 300BLK AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT PUTTING THE CASES BACK IN THE BOX AS THE SHORT CASE WILL FALL BELOW THE GRID AND IT MIGHT BE HARD TO GET IT BACK OUT AGAIN.

I have been using this brand and style ammo storage boxes since I was a kid. If you are not abusing the box it can last a very long time. I have one box that I picked up 28 years ago . Granted that most do not last that long but you can easily get a decade of use out of these boxes. The shortest ammount of use that I have gotten from one of these boxes was only a few years when it fell off the shooting bench and landed on a cement slab and broke along the edge and corner of the box. But that is definitely a rarity since I have had them fall from greater heights such as when I had a shelf collapse in my reloading room and dumped about 25 boxes of various rifle rounds on the floor from a height of about 4 ft and not a single one broke.I will continue to use this brand and style of ammo storage boxes in the years to come. Since they are durable and are a cost effective storage solution for ammo. I definitely recommend these boxes to friends and family because of the low cost and the high quality of the boxes. That last a long time under normal use.

I use this for storage of my 5.56 ammo. When full I stack these 5 high in my safe, the bottom one doesn't seem to distort at all under that load. The hinge is pretty sturdy and there is enough room for a variety of rounds. The price is right as well in my opinion simply because it seems like they will hold up for many years. I am also somewhat lucky that these fit perfectly 3 wide in my range bag, at least the one I use specifically for ammo. Good buy.

I have used these cases before so when I saw them I bought them. These are very sturdy ammo cases with a good working latch. The ones I purchased 20 years ago I still have and yes they still work. Some of the other cases I looked at online I just was not sure about. Sometimes you just do not know if they will stand up under use in the field, these cases will.NOTE: after I posted review of product I looked at the review and noticed amazon used a different picture that does not look like the product I purchased. When I clicked on the link the correct product did show up. The product I purchased is all the same color green not a different color on top and bottom.JonSanta Ana, Ca

I us this for my roloads, its nice for range work. I am just learning to reload, and its nice to have 10 round of one type of load, 10 rounds rounds of another and so forth. It fits perfect inside of my MTM Range box and allows me to keep my range work focused to 100 rounds. If you are like me "If I have it I will shoot it" mentality, this will allow you to keep the ammo price down on range day :)
