These do not have window shaking bass... they aren't supposed to they are PA speakers. If you want good bass they must be paired with a powered sub. With that said, I'm very pleased with these speakers. MTX has never let me down. I have paired them with a Sony powered sub, and they are powered by a ( average quality ) Yamaha receiver for my shop. These things sound very clear with no distortion at high volumes. I have been using them for 10 hours a day 5 days a week for about 5 months now with no problems at all. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a good high and mid range speaker.

Always liked mtx products,bought this set of speakers and noticed while picking them up they had loose components bouncing around inside speaker cabinets no access to see what's fallen apart inside.

I bought a pair of these about 15 years ago from Circuit City and another pair last year. I’ve been very happy with these speakers and they’ve proven longevity. The 15 year old pair have been thoroughly abused and still sound great. I did have to replace the plastic mounting hold on the bottom with metal ones at year 6. Cheap fix and definitely worth it. Highly recommend these speakers for indoor and outdoor parties. Plenty of bass and clear sound.

Instead of hiring a DJ, I decided to use my iPod and spent the money on a receiver and two of these speakers in 2008. They have been blasting away as part of my home theater since. They have great very great sound for music, movies, and gaming. I also added a subwoofer (essential). I have only been able to crank it up to maybe 40% of its max volume since 100% has the entire building rumbling and my neighbors storming out. They are very powerful.
