Based on the photos and description, I expected these to be a much thicker material. Instead, they are very thin jersey (t-shirt) material but very soft and well weighted for our Southern California summer weather. More like a dri-fit weight, but in cotton/poly feel. If you're in a hot climate and on the fence about these, thinking they may be too thick (as I was originally), they're a great option. They seem durable and they fit really well. My son is 8 1/2, on the tall/thin side, 59 lbs, so we're between 7 and 8 for bottoms. I bought Mediums in two colors, sizes are all consistent with each other. My son tried them on and they passed the test as keepers.

Fits my friend child perfectly who is slim built age 3-4. Soft and the colour is nice. The draw string is so helpful for kids fitting too. Great buy
