While this worked great for heating up the pool, it only lasted a couple of uses and then it quick working. Quite frustrating as it hung to dry after each use.

The metal sheath was falling off when i opened it. -never did raise the temp in 30 min on a med tub of water

If you have a kids pool, this would be fine. However, I have a 12 foot inflatable above ground and in order to heat it properly, more than 5 degrees as I found this heater only increases the water temp by 5 degrees, you would need 10 to 12 of these heaters, then again, I live in Michigan.
