This first edition is not graded for difficulty, it is designed to be lifted by anyone but still requires a good pinch and therefore builds strength. Hand made in Stoke on Trent, England. Made from quality stoneware by crafts people at one of England’s oldest pottery areas. Its generous proportions give you a decent sized cuppa. An ma3t design. You'll find the designers' mark, ma3t, proudly embossed on the bottom. ma3t are a collective formed in London, but now spread over the world.

It sure is a pinch hold, it's hard to hold onto, but I got it for the novelty as a gift and my friend enjoyed it. The material was thinner and lighter than I imagined it would be for a mug that wasn't super cheap. It felt like it could break super easily, but it was sturdy enough.

Exactly what it says on the tin, worth the money, my friend loves it and can hold is multiple different ways. he uses it every day. I don't think ive ever wrote a review before on amazon but this product is that good I had to! 5/5

Good as a joke gift. Since the pinch is made from ceramic though so not good to hold due to heat

I have a relative who has been an avid rock climber for many years. When I saw this mug, I knew I had to get it for her. I particularly love the carved look. It feels really unique in your hand. I can tell it's really well made, and not a cheap novelty item (it's hard to find something like this that will stand the test of time). I am confident this will! If you rock climb or know someone who does, this is the perfect gift.

I ordered this for my rock climbing son. It’s good for a few laughs or a gag gift, but there is no way you would put any liquid in it other than water. It is the tiniest of holding area and any disturbance would probably send it flying.

I ordered this as a gift for a friend and they thought it was fun. The rest of the mug could use some more details. The pinch hold part works but once you get the right position it can be fairly easy for both hands.

As someone who's not a climber, I was initially drawn to the pinch-hold mug for its artistic design. It's a beautifully crafted piece that looks like it belongs in a museum. The high-end material enhances its appeal, making it a fantastic gift option. I may not be a climber, but I can appreciate the artistry and quality of this unique mug. Also microwave and dishwasher safe, which are pluses.
