These little magnets have worked well for handling small interlocked steel components (~45#) with 2ea. My use involved curved plate at 1/2" thick & 12" radius we we wanted a margin of error for limited contact area between the magnet and material. These are strong and function as intended. For best results ensure material is flat and of adequate thickness to meet the rating or factor in a margin of error.

I received the magnet and proceeded to test it. I put it on a 2 inch thick flange cover with a smooth contact surface, suspended it from an overhead hoist and then started piling heavy stuff on. I stopped at 350 pounds because my rig was becoming unstable and I didn't trust the handle attachment on the magnet.That being said, I think the handle is the weak part and for really heavy or dynamic loads I'll make something that attaches to the threaded holes in the sides.

I won't hold 600 lbs. I can pull it off an I-Beam without turning it off. It might lift 100 lbs but that's about all. I weigh 180 lbs and there is no way it would hold my weight hanging from an I-beam It is strong and useful on a work bench but not nearly as strong as claimed.

It is really nice, very good products.It is really strong at "II", if woman, it may not able to open.It has to push down first, then turn to "I" or "II".Really nice design, very helpful for our application.

The build quality of this magnet is extremely well done. The provided accessories are also quality products.3 settings, off/low/full. Turning the handle is hard due to the strength of the magnet. The low level is difficult. The magnet strength is strong but depending what the magnet is holding the magnet can be removed without turning the magnet to off.The full strength setting is very hard and takes some real effort to engage. When the magnet is locked onto an object, for me, the only way off is to rotate the handle to low or off.when attached to something very heavy out of water may not be able to be moved if there is only one person. The magnet is just that strong. In water one might snag something so heavy it can't be pulled up.Excited for warmer weather. The intrigue of finding that 'hidden treasure' always lingers.Very happy with this item and Highly Recommend.
