Nice color range. Texture is between a Nupastel and a Rembrandt,i.e., on the soft side of hard or the hard side of soft. Can make a fairly fine line but also works for scrumbling.

There are 6 colors of grey 2 sticks each. The wrapping paper around each stick clearly states the name and number of the color. The storage box will keep the sticks protected for many sessions of use. This manufacture truly respects artist products.

They are a medium pastel which will work well to sketch and blend similar to sketching and charcoal work. They are also good for detailing and adding highlights as well. I recommend this as a great practicing material. The color richness is quite good in this price point range. I love that you can see the white on white paper. I haven’t blended with them yet but I believe based on my swatch work, I can tell they’ll blend well depending on your method/tool for blending. Enjoy.

The stick itself is very hard, but the application is smooth. The material is calcium carbonate - think of VERY fine "eggshells, snail shells, seashells and pearls" I guess. It comes off opaque but can be blended out. I tried it out on thicker paper with relatively low tooth and produced a fair amount of dust. I like the vibrancy of the colors, even though they are greys!

Mungyo Gallery Artists' Soft Pastels spreads well when in powdered form, bit dry for my use, but a good product, very good for large Grey background creation

A bit harder than I expected and it's not a gradient of greys over 12 colours like I thought it would be. Black, white and 4 different greys, everything twice. But it will combine nicely to make a mix with my other extra soft to soft (medium/hard) like I want. Especially as it is the grey pack, with which a lot of line work can be done. (Sketching, grey hair over darker underpainting, etc etc)
