I installed this cable for the snow blower drive. Adjusted it according to the Murray service instructions. This leaves the cable with some slack. The s-hook kept coming out of the hole in the upper lever so I put a zip tie on it to hold it in place. That was a mistake because that made the cable bend at the s-hook and break off after one season. The s-hook needs to be able to pivot in the hole so that the cable gets pulled straight when tight and not bent when tight. I see some other brands included zip ties with their cables. If you put on a zip tie maybe just put it on the end of the s-hook and make sure the cable can still pivot in the hole. I get to order a new cable now.

Even though product says it's for a Murray lawn mower, the same part number fits my Craftsman 24 inch snow blower. Took a whole 60 seconds to install.

I regret to say that I cannot use the part that I received from Powertools as it is too short, it is only 30 inches long it needs to be about 63 inches. The packing slip gives the item title as "Briggs and Stratton OEM 1501123MA replacement cable,fr-dr p1, p2,p3" with the SKU 1501123MA. The currently installed original cable I am replacing is 63 inches long. The details of my mower are: Murray 6.25 hp, Model 228511X31D Serial # 7483809741AA164 and which I used to order the part. Please send a 63 inch cable. Thanks

Worked perfect on my craftsman snowblower, connects the hand lever to the drive. The cable has 2 "L" hooks on the end and is about 30 inches long.

This cable works great for my Sears Snow Thrower. The part number in the operator's manual is 150112, cable,clutch, I couldn't find the number on Amazon so I started reading the reviews and "Questions Answered" and found that this one would probably work. Thank you to those that post reviews giving details, it's extremely helpful when part numbers can't be found. I hope that this helps someone else that has a Sears Snow Thrower.

Fit my Sears Craftsman 9 hp Snow thrower perfectly. The part number of the Briggs and Stratton cable matched the owners manual part number. The old one lasted for 8 years of NY snow. This cable connects to the traction drive handle and runs down to another connection which connects to another cable that runs under the machine.

I bought this cable which is the original manufacturer's part for my 2003 9 hp Craftsman snow blower for the clutch auger. I broke the cable 7 years ago. I flipped it upside down and put JB Weld on it, a redneck fix. Well, it worked for 7 years until now.I shopped on the Sears site for this part, and it was $35.24! I thought that was outrageous, so I searched on Bing for the part number. It led me to Amazon for the same part for $11, one third of the price. Amazon rules!

I needed this to get my Craftsman snow blower back in action. My previous cable (stock) ended up breaking on the metal z-tab on the end. This replacement cable will do the trick.
