Love this turntable I upgraded to. Had a very low entry turntable for the last few years and it was time to upgrade. This has almost all the features I was looking for except one. One the record is over the platter doesn't automatically stop. You have to hit stop. Had I know this I may have looked a little longer but overall love this turntable.

THIS is a FANTASTIC turntable! I was concerned about the plinth and base being nothing but ABS, but after adding wheel weights to the interior of the plinth and the base that amount to NINE POUNDS added weight, this turntable is insanely outstanding! The motor, for whatever reason, now holds its speed better than it ever has. We're talking near roRead more about review stating Best Kept Turntable secret (IMO)ck solid! No clue how the added weight did that, but it did! I can walk in front of the turntable and not fear skipping, can't hear the footsteps. I'm literally amazed at just how much better this already insanely excellent turntable has become! No lightweight any longer, but a solid, HEAVY turntable whose motor is silent, I mean nada noise. I am so glad I didn't spend 400-500 on a "better" turntable (is it REALLY "better" or is it just more expensive?) and went with this "Demo" model from Audio Advisor. Best price & fast shipping! And customer service that is second to none.If looking for a reasonably priced turntable with incredible quality sound out of the box, the Music Hall US-1 is what you are looking for! VERY easy to upgrade as well, which is what I did with a new aluminum headshell and an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge/stylus. I also am not using the supplied felt mat, but rather an acrylic platter mat that looks GORGEOUS on the black turntable (I bought a white acrylic mat). I also added a record weight. The sound quality is simply heavenly, it sounds that good! Mozart, Bach, Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac, all sound fantastic, and better than a record has the right to sound! I am so enamored with this turntable, that I bought a second one for my daughter when her vintage turntable bit the dust. Her ears are smiling again with this turntable. In conclusion, this is the best-kept turntable secret (in my opinion) and is highly underrated. Now, I realize not everyone is comfortable with taking the base apart and adding wheel weights to the plinth & base interiors, but even without doing that, the sound quality out of the box is beyond mesmerizing, it is downright entertaining and enjoyable. However, should the upgrade bug bite (and it likely will), I strongly recommend the Music Hall US-1 to be on your shortlist. Add an Ortofon 2M Red and you have one kickin' turntable that is high quality and will last for years.

What's to like...? Hmmm.... How about the name on it "MUSIC HALL?". But remember, this is their entry level model with all that DJ furniture, and Belt Drive. It's probably OK, but, if you get enamored with the brand name here, your missing the point. Crosley, makes, sorry... I mean sources the same unit, and markets it as the C100. But, pay the extra, and get the C200 which ditches the belt, and places that platter directly atop a nice direct drive motor. I really feel this Direct Drive Crosley is a better choice for the beginner....In England, there are variations of this same design sold under the name LENCO. Check them out on YouTube

out the box it runs at 40rpm on the 33 setting, and 55rpm on the 45 setting. absolute trash. the pitch adjustment only makes it slightly less chipmunk-y but whats the point. returning and getting my money back. look online elsewhere for literally anything else.
