I bought these because I guitar I purchased used came with Schaller strap buttons but no locks. Unfortunately these were not compatible with the Schaller buttons, and I didn't want to mess with the existing buttons. I would imagine they work fine by themselves but I ended up returning them. These would also suffer from the same flaw that annoys me with Schaller locks, in that the strap will generally have to be removed to put the guitar in a case, and the metal peg makes playing in the classical position uncomfortable with the protruding peg sticking into your leg.I would recommend to the seller to remove "Schaller style" from the product description to help avoid that confusion for future buyers.

I’ve purchased several of these as inexpensive alternatives to my expensive Schaller strap locks. So far so good, no issues with them.
