I got this vest/fanny pack combo for day hikes, but I am afraid that the design just isn't all that practical. It is very lightweight and easy to put on, so I will give it props for that. Also, it's pretty cool that you can convert this from a fanny pack into a vest quite easily. But the water bottles sit too high on my chest and bounce quite a bit, even when I walk. I think the bottles will tend to fall out with more vigorous movement. Plus, for women, the bottles are just not very practically positioned. Maybe a guy would have a different experience due to anatomical differences. Also, having the fanny pack on your back ends up not being all that practical, either. You would need to remove the vest to access your phone, for example. There are spare pockets in the front next to the water bottles, but they are flimsy, don't close, and I would fear my phone falling out or getting wet from my water bottle or the elements. At this price point, I was expecting a vest that would better suit my needs. This item just doesn't make the cut.

I am so happy I found this! This pack has everything I needed in one item, and it’s so easy to use and fit into carry-on bags. I am a big hiker, especially on vacations. I wanted a “backpack” that could carry water bottles, money, keys, my passport, snacks, and other essentials in a non-bulky way and so I could easily reach them. This serves all my needs. I also love how it easily folds into itself for putting it into a small carryon bag. I’m also sometimes a long distance runner so this serves me well when I head out to run for a few hours. It’s really well made and easy to clean too. I highly recommend this pack for men and women!

Small rectangular fanny/waist pack with soft 1.5" elastic waistband with back padding and a stout buckle, exterior locking buckled webbing loops, a molle strip for carabiners, and an opening metal d-ring to hang keyring or bottle clip.3 top zip pockets -outer compartment is smaller, center compartment is divided half-height and holds my heavy phone case jangle-free, inner compartment is largest and holds the ultra soft roll-out vest section, which has high-mount front soft flask pockets with drawstrings and U-shaped trail bar/waffle pockets with elastic openings on both sides. The MVRK vest is entirely made of very soft non-chafing stretchy spandex-like material, with thin webbing loops to mount/adjust the single elastic chest strap with ultralight buckle. Good front hydration and stinger pockets, small reflectives fore & aft. When worn, the fanny pack rides above the small of my back and the waistbelt buckle rides above my belly button.Very cool pockets for my ultra-size phone, card wallet buds case and watch at the crowded gym. Loops for my towel. I can hit the treadmill to warm up with the MVRK in fanny pack mode, circuit the machines and free weights, then fill up 2x500ml soft flasks and pull out the MVRK's vest to run or ride that excess lactic acid away. The waistband could be made of sterner stuff, and for the price it could include another chest strap.I like everything else about this MVRK 2-in-1 packable running vest. My heavy phone doesn't bounce the fanny pack around. The front hydration and dry pockets are well designed and useful for running and riding, the front closure strap is adjustable in position as well as length. The MVRK vest seems very well built, and looks cool.4.5/5

This vest has an ultra-lightweight design; it feels almost non-existent while I’m on the move. The water-resistant fabric is perfect for those unpredictable weather conditions, keeping me dry without added bulk.PRO its ability to fold up neatly and fit into a small pouch, making it incredibly convenient to store in my running belt or backpack. Honestly, I barely notice it's there until I need it—it's perfect for those long runs where the weather can change unexpectedly.I love how well the pockets have held up over time. They’re not just convenient for storing small essentials like keys or energy gels; they’ve maintained their elasticity and shape, which is often a problem with other vests I’ve owned.

I run multiple times a week throughout the year with a running phone/keys/pepper spray fanny pack. This seemed like it would be a good option for when I need to also carry some water. I wear large shirts and T-shirts (size 44) , so I assumed that this (sized M-XL) would fit me (less than 6’ tall). It is not the waist or even the chest size that is the problem, it is torso length. The entire vest portion is pulled high and tight up onto my shoulders so that the fanny pack is in the middle of my back. Trying to pull the fanny pack down to my waist and cinch it would rip the fabric or put the pockets over my shoulders. Adding to this, while the fanny pack portion is sturdy (good), the vest portion is light and breathable (good) there is very little structural integrity to the vest (bad) to hold anything of weight. Even if it did fit me, the chest strap only has about 1” of vertical play, so getting this positioned across the chest (especially on women) would likely be difficult.

Super light running vest connected to a somewhat bulky fany pack. Vest rolls up and stuffs inside but that limits usable space in the pack. This vest is too small for me at 6'4" 235lbs, and the fany pack would be better if removable and also not so padded/bulky. Good big pockets for water bottles and snacks, 2 full depth pockets on both sides of chest, straps to hang stuff on and the vest fabric is thin, breathable, sturdy feeling and very stretchy. The fany pack has 2 full size zippered pockets and the vest storage area is zippered too. Good enough to keep your phone wallet and keys in during your mechanically unassisted rapid morning transdislocation initiative, where the finish line is merely a topological deformation of the starting point. Or morning jog.
