Switch doesn't work simple as that

Tested with a multimeter for continuity before writing it into a build only to find that out tested as open circuit, even with the magnetic contact in place. I even tried a much more powerful magnet, no continuity. Nothing I could do would make it read as a closed circuit, magnet or no magnet. Don't waste your time
