Worked fine on RG8x after careful adjustment. I used this with crimp/solder PL259's and this product makes the job a pleasure.

For my RG-8 project the crimper worked perfectly out of the box for stripping the cable for my PL-259 install. Good Quality. Tool was included if adjustments were needed (None needed). Thanks

You get what you pay for. Both of these tools in the two pack were dead on arrival with loose adjustment inserts. You couldn’t adjust the depth of the cut without the tool falling apart…..failure!

This is a pkg of two for the price of a single cutter. It is already set up for RG-8X and LMR-240 (.240" diameter coaxes). I found a Youtube video showing how to rotate the orange thingy for different sizes of coax, change cutting depth of the blades, and length of jacket cut. For the DX Engineering PL-239's I am using I needed a longer cut on the jacket and following this video, moved the jacket cutting blade over one notch for a perfect length of cut. All very fast and easy.

I was able to adjust the proportions appropriately but it mangled the shielding, the dielectric was a bit squished which if it would get too bad it would short. I did one cut with a different prep tool for comparison. It's by jonard tools

I used this coaxial cable stripper to strip CB radio coaxial cable in order to fit PL259 connectors to it.
