Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Heritage

Cinco de Mayo (or 5th of May) traditionally commemorates Mexico's victory in the Battle of Puebla and is celebrated annually on May 5. This holiday is more widely recognized in the US than in Mexico and more broadly celebrates Mexican-American culture and heritage.

This was definitely an impulse order (also encouraged by my mother!) but it was too cute to pass up and too much fun with all the little toys. They are just as expected, and I love that the hat can be worn as well as used for storage! I think it will be a great early homeschooling set when baby girl old enough.

This is a really fun set to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! My son likes all of the different toys, which all have a different sensory sound, from bells, crinkles, rattles, etc. The bright colors are lots of fun. My son has continued to play with it over the last 4 months.

The toy is fun to play with, and will help develop sensory skills. The toy is not just a developmental tool, but a fun homage to Latino heritage for Latino parents.Because who doesn't love a sombrero this was also a hit with guests visiting baby, its eye catching and useful for the baby - what more could you want!A must get!

This is a pretty cute and definitely unique set of soft fabric baby toys. I would say this is more for an older baby, when they start getting into more tactile things (like different textures and colors and sounds), but before they really start teething, so maybe like 3-6ish months. Each toy has a different (and not annoying!) sound: the llama piñata has a squeaker in the belly; the maraca has a pleasant-sounding bell; the taco has a rattle, and the guitar is made of a crinkly material. All are very soft. The sombrero doesn't make any noise but is lightweight and soft.I would say the only negatives are the Velcro in the sombrero where you can store the toys is pretty ineffective because the spots are so tiny and there isn't quite enough space in the hat for all of the toys to easily fit. Also, that Velcro flap makes it awkward if you actually want to try and put the sombrero on your kiddo's head. Lastly, I really don't like the face on the taco, it's kind of creepy to me, by YMMV. I will say that the guitar is probably the best one--my kids have all loved crinkly toys as babies.
