Not happy bought it for my 33 year son who loves bourbon and has a nice collection of bourbons he followed directions carefully and it leaked he started over and redid following the directions again his bourbons are expensive and he was hoping he could do some aging himself but the thing leaked and then turned black where it had leaked my son is no dummy this was important to him and he has a Masters Degree so he is not a dummy! It was his Birthday gift and it FAILED!!

The barrel looks great and as pictured. I had still a bit of leakage after curing, but the seller immediately and promptly sent over some barrel wax. Can’t wait to taste the finished product!

Barrel looks great, engraving is good but I had to use pliers and a fair amount of shaking to clear some decent sized wood chips out of the barrel. I'm not sure how the barrels are put together but I looked inside with a flashlight and there appears to be cardboard used to pack in the top and bottom of the barrel. This is a gift for a friends wedding and I'm worried about what's going to come out when they actually use it. The stand is a joke, it's completely unfinished, there's large glue drips around the dowls and the wood around where the holes were drilled is all torn up. It hasn't been sanded at all. If it weren't for the fact that it was late arriving and the wedding is only a couple weeks away I'd return it. I'm going to do my best to clean it up with sand paper but when I bought it I expected something a bit more professional.

The barrel was beautiful until we actually used it. Followed all the instructions to cure the barrel. The barrel turned black. We’ve purchased other barrels before but this was the first personalized barrel. The company was quick to respond and replace the original barrel (which is why a gave 2 stars) but the second barrel stained and leaked as bad as the first.

Came as expected, but make sure you review the sizing. Was pretty small. Planned to use for envelop box for wedding, but definitely way too tiny. Ended up just having it as decoration. Soon will be placing in my bar to store scotch :)
