Your cart is empty.Stainless Steel 5" HBT Shank with Sweet Iron Mullen Triple Barrel (MB 32-3) Copper Inlay Mouth. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes. About the mouthpiece: the 32-3 is the Myler alternative to a traditional mullen. It has three barrels which turn the mouthpiece from the typical solid bar of a mullen into a flexible bar which allows the horse to elevate his tongue and swallow more easily under the bit. When the reins are engaged, the 32-3 becomes a solid bar like a traditional mullen, but with an exaggerated curve. This curved bar rotates across the bars and lips down on to the tongue, applying pressure across the entire surface of the tongue. The flexibility of the 32-3 makes it very forgiving and comforting when relaxed, but offers the rider control when engaged. The pressure on the tongue is distributed across all three barrels, which also create the Independent Side Movement . Because the tongue pressure applied by the 32-3 is evenly distributed across the entire tongue, this mouthpiece is considered "stronger" than the 04. However, its flexibility makes it a forgiving mouthpiece that works well for horses who have suffered mouth trauma or damage, or horses that tend to go behind the bit. I have a young colt with a soft mouth. I borrowed one from a friend used it for a week. Turned my head tossing, nose rooting evader into a happy and relaxed horse.

This bit seems to be universally good for any horse, from my hard-mouthed mare to my gentle gelding. I'm happy with it!

First of all - this is an absolutely life changing purchase - my grass diving mule now has a happy mouth and I am a happy rider - this bit gives her great tongue relief but gives me the control to make our ride enjoyable. The product is well made - pricey but worth it! and the place I purchased it from was AWESOME! Quick and thorough - good price - and easy to deal with. So for all you fence sitters - trying other bits - this is the one! My girl is a draft cross mule - and there is no winning a tug of war with her tree trunk neck - she gets a loose rein with this bit 99.9999% of the time and is very comfortable with it in her mouth. But if she grass dives, I just pick up on the rein (only engaged it TWICE on the first day) and she immediately responds in a courteous way - and she gets her loose rein back. Highly recommend Myler products. Never thought I would see the day I spent a hundred bucks on a bit - but NOW I am asking why I did not do it sooner.
