Vest: Lots of pockets! But a few are quite small. It's got useful ones for me. Tall ones to dump my phone in. (I don't like the zippered one for that.) A small zippered pocket to tuck in trash from snacks and be sure it won't go running off to be litter. A bit of room for those snacks too. Three clips gives a choice of how to clip in without the weight and stiffness of a slider. It does still weigh 199g (7oz), a bit more than the 180g claimed and that's just the vest.Around the back, the large pocket is constructed to be a little larger than the bladder, so when that is full of water, there's just a thin space all around to fill. It makes the overall space work like a smaller smaller space when trying to pack other stuff in. The pocket for the bladder hangs open unless the clip for the bladder is run through a loop to hold it closed in the middle. It's an odd closure, but it does work. Then the other pockets are much smaller as the top zippered pocket doesn't go all the way down, just to the level of the lower pocket.I did try tucking my poles in the holders and as expected, they knock my arms.Bladder: This is an additional 134g (4.7oz). It has quick release (don't get one without!) for the tube. No retention for the clip and nothing about the top is usable for a handle, which mildly complicates filling. But it folds and slides easily enough. The valve doesn't have any shut off to mess with, which shouldn't be needed with a dust cover. However, the dust cover is tight and if the base of it gets a little off, it presses the mouth piece and causes leaking, at least when it is all full. The mouth piece only needs the slightest pressure to let water out when the bladder is full, especially once worn and there's a little more pressing on the outside of it. It's better once a little water is drunk.Overall: there's some weirdnesses, but it's comfortable and often makes good choices for weight vs. usefulness. The fabric is soft on the outside and the foam quite breathable. It covers slightly more than others with the extra width on the back piece, which could be undesirable as summer gets here.

I bought this for my stepdaughter since her summer job is outside. She loves being able to make her electrolyte drinks the night before. She puts half with ice and the other half with ice when she gets up in the morning, which lasts all day. It doesn’t leak, and it’s easy to clean. She said it’s like an ice pack and a drink machine all in one, and it has tons of pockets where she could put her phone, work badge gear, and whatever she needs.
