I like this particular Yarn Swift because it is a stand alone that does not need to be clamped down. This feature allows me to easily move it from place to place and not worry about a surface to clamp it down to.

This is nice sturdy good wood craftsmanship. With that said at first it was very difficult to get it to turn it didn’t have that real easy spin to it and I don’t know if this is gonna affect it in the long run I’m sure it will but I ended up putting some gear grease right where the red tip is pointing in the picture just so that it would spin around easier otherwise it was extremely difficult and was pulling the yarn way too hard. I would almost like to see a mechanism like in the wind or that just makes it real smooth and easy to spin instead of water on wood. With that said the craftsmanship is very nice it’s got a good sturdy weight to it.

Hij draait niet. Het bovenste draaischroef houten knopje ging kapot ( knapte letterlijk doormidden toen er spanning op kwam), binnen 5 minuten. Weggegooid geld. Mooi om op je tafel te zetten, ziet er geinig uit. Zou hem echter niet gebruiken om je wol op te draaien.Hele geval de kliko ingekiepert.De nadelen: Er zit geen draaiknop op. Je moet zelf met de hand aan molen draaien. Dit duurt eeuwig. Hout op hout gaat absoluut niet zo soepel als zo'n metalen draaimolentje. Als er spanning op de wieken komt, knapt bovenste knopje.

The device comes in two pieces and has already stripped bolt. The extender portion is also no longer staying open. I would not recommend this accept the children who I showed this to loved the example and loved to watch it.

Love this, it has saved me so much time. Just buy it you won't regret it. It's very easy to use and folds up so it doesn't take up much room when it's not being used. It's very good quality and I love it

I hated my cheap umbrella swift; you still have to fiddle with the yarn on this one, and watch to make sure it doesn't get tangled in the wrong way, but this is very pretty. If using with very thick or slightly felted yarn, the weight on the base alone might not keep it from moving so you might need a hand to stabilize it. Also doesn't collapse as small as an umbrella swift, but when it looks like this I don't mind.

The item itself is beautiful but not functional. Once the yarn is secure, the swift won't spin, which meant a lot more work spinning the swift with one hand while using the spinner with the other. A few minutes into trying to use this, the stand on the spinner fell apart. I bought this for convenience and it's a headache. Not worth the purchase.

Great quality, very sturdy, and folds up in seconds so that it can sit on my shelf when not in use. I like that it looks pretty handsome on my shelf too, so I don't have to hide it away. I honestly can't believe how low the price was considering the quality. Will recommend to other fellow knitters - way better than a metal / plastic umbrella swift and I like that I don't lose the parts constantly like I do with my amish swift!

Pretty and functional. This is a nice quality wood with sturdy construction. Spins smoothly and is easy to adjust for different sized skeins. It folds down and stores easily. It looks nice in the craft room. I added little rubber pads to the bottom base so it doesn’t slide. Highly recommended.After posting this review the price went down by $10. Amazon doesn’t honor price adjustments. I feel salty about being swindled.
