This Nalgene square media bottle has a PETG body and an HDPE screw cap, and it is sterile. This media bottle is used to hold samples and for storage, mixing, and sampling applications. The PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) body provides dimensional stability, is lightweight and impact resistant, and is transparent to allow visual monitoring of fluids. Its square shape is used for space-efficient storage, and for applications that require stability and gripping ease. This bottle has an HDPE (high-density polyethylene) cap to secure contents and help prevent spills and evaporation. The bottle and closure are sterilized to a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6 by gamma irradiation for applications requiring sterility. Heavy wall construction helps secure bottle contents, and the bottle is graduated for measured dispensing and storing. The bottle is non-cytotoxic, non-pyrogenic, and it meets United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) Class VI criteria for medical grade plastic materials. This bottle can withstand temperatures to -40 degrees C, and it has low permeability to carbon dioxide and oxygen.
