We have a 20 lb Eskipoo who loves her walks, she loves being let off the leash at the beach and is well trained. The leash is a little bulky around the neck. The length, when extended fully, just fits around her neck. The length of the leash is approximately 4 feet long so the dog will not be able to wander. It works well and retracts smoothly, there is a box for the leash within the sleeve on the dog's neck, so every time the leash retracted, my pup seemed bothered by the noise. Maybe once we walk more with it, she will get used to it. In the meantime, we'll use it as a spare leash and keep it in the car for future walks.

I’ve noticed some valid comments from other reviewers about how this doesn’t really make a good daily leash, but personally I don’t think of this as something I would use for long durations, but more of a way to quickly and comfortably lead my dog somewhere without having to bend over and drag him awkwardly around by his collar - almost like more of an “emergency leash”. For example, when I want to lead my dog quickly inside/outside of the house, or hold him in place for a moment, or lead him into the back of my truck without having to find and connect a traditional leash. It’s really convenient to have a leash right there on your dog at all times, even if it’s not the kind of thing you would use for full walks around the neighborhood. And I personally use mine in addition to a regular collar, not in place of, since it is a little bulky and I don’t want it to get damaged or bother my dog from leaving it on 24/7.The leash seems nicely made, doesn’t seem to bother my dog for short uses, retracts fully, and has a relatively comfortable handle for what it is. I’ve found it to be very useful, and at just over $10 I would 100% recommend it for the purposes I described.I should also note that while I was using it on my puppy in these pictures, a few of my dogs are over 100lbs and it’s worked fine for them for occasional use and hasn’t snapped or broken so far.

I wouldn't say this is for a medium dog. More for very small dogs. I actually ended up giving it to my daughter to use with her stuffed animals. She loved it. The print is cute. The leash isn't very long, so as long as you are aware of all that, then you will enjoy it.

I guess I thought this would be more of a leash that you can manually retract and lock in place like I've seen with others. Instead, there's no real way to limit how much leash our dog has. That's not a problem (i guess?) because the leash only goes out 3-4 feet, but it still would be nice to have some kind of manual override on it. The collar is nice though. My dog seems to like it fine.Edit: This thing is garbage. Won't retract it all now and can't adjust the collar so my dog ran right out of it. In the trash it goes.

I am not the dog being collared but the width of the collar that goes over the neck of the dog could be wider for greater comfort for the dog. In terms of build quality and perceived durability at this initial stage of use, I would rate it a six out of ten. With regards to the size and circumference of the collar, I experienced no issues with my breed of dog and do not expect most users to if they properly ascertain the size for fitment before they purchase this collar. Overall, I do recommend this dog collar.

I’m very pleased with this collar leash combo. It gives me the opportunity to control the situation if he is not on a normal leash, before himself into any trouble.
