The Bauer 20 mm Long-Throw Random Orbit DA from Harbor Freight comes with a 6" pad backplate. But it has a "unique" way to attach it that is similar to the Rupes polisher. I wanted a 5" backplate, but HF doesn't currently offer one and I didn't want to spend the $$$ to get one from Rupes. The great thing is this one fits for less than ½ the price. It is well constructed and fits my Bauer DA polisher perfectly.

This 5" Nanoskin is obviously better balanced than the stock Vevor 6", or is a more comparable size. The machine did not vibrant "terribly" at speed settings higher than 4 but had an annoying buzzy rattle in the battery section, also 6" backing plate was easily stalled on curved or ridged surfaces. With this 5" installed nomore vibrating rattle, and whole machine just calmed down.

Doesn't look like it was used... opened the prime bag it shipped in and the box was open already. Looks like it was a return or something. We'll see. Kinda shady.

This changed out the 6" for this 5". Now my smaller pads fit the machine. This is a nice quality backplate.

The metal is stuck on bearing and very hard to pry off. Cannot switch back and forth 5 to 6 inch. I will try to super glue the metal back to the backing plate.
