Good seal, fit my 1968 Charger with 8.75 rear end and 742 carrier (designated with the BIG "2" stamped on the left side carrier). Yes, the 8.75 Charger rear ends came with 3 carriers. The 742 uses a different pinion seal than the 489/741 carriers. They share the same (cheaper) seal.Even though Amazon says this seal does not fit my 68 Charger, it indeed does as its the same seal part# as the Timkin 7216. I soaked the seal in oil for 24 hrs prior to install just to soften up the material a bit.
