These hinges look and work great. Install was a breeze with flush mount and slightly oversized screw holes. This allows for fine adjustment to prevent door sagging. My only complaint is that they come in a 2 pack. For my

These seem to have a strong spring and the finish seems durable. I had them installed in a matter of minutes and the closing spring tension set easily. I would definitely buy again.

These are not heavy enough for large gates. cheap metal and bends with just a wooden gate. don't waste your money it you plan to use these on gates or any big doors.

These are well made and show no signs of breaking down anytime soon. The pins for setting tension are tiny so don’t lose them

I needed a solution to help keep my gate closed (typical wooden fence) and installed two of these. All I ended up with is a gate that has some resistance to open and only closes a few inches before stopping. It worked for a few closings, but then stopped working. Don't waste your money. There have to be better solutions available.

Most everyone who comes to my house cannot seem to make sure my gate latches so my puppy dog (60lb 8 yr old puppy) doesn't escape and get into trouble out in that mean old world. I bought these for a little wood picket gate about 3' wide by 4' high and maybe 8-10 lbs if I had to guess. I replaced existing hinges with these adjusted the tension to just the right amount of tension and, Viola, the gate closes and latches itself everytime. I reserve the right to adjust my review pending a little passage of time to see if springs will retain their strength. I did adjust these to the bare minimum amount of tension to close my gate and hopefully extend lifetime of springs. Fingers crossed it will last for a while, but I do feel better now that my boy can't just run off again after someone forgets to latch my gate. These will work for smaller lighter gates but I wouldn't recommend these for anything really heavier than 20lbs no matter what is advertised. I grew up on a farm and I swear I built more gates before I was 10 than most average people have just walked through in their entire lives so I consider myself an expert in gates and hinges not to mention I can milk the crap out of a cow ;-) ....I hope this info helps others out in the future

Works sort of but does not keep its tightness for more than a few open/closings. Wouldn't buy again
