Lullingworth Value pack of 7 sponges comprise 1 x 4-4.5" grass, 2 x 2.5-3" grass, 2 x 2-2.5" silk, 1 x 1.5-2" silk and 1 x 2.75" round synthetic (note sizes relate to sponges when wet).

Economical: Sponges are re-usable and will last many months of use when properly cared for. Please note however that all sea sponges, irrespective of brand or type, will degrade with use over time.

Note: Because sea sponges are natural organisms, they vary by shape, size, color & texture. The sponges you receive may look slightly different from the images and from previous orders.

Premium Quality Round Synthetic Sponge

Our synthetic sponge is high density with a greater durability than when compared to many other types of sponges.

This sponge has a “hydrophiliated” structure resulting in better water circulation thus giving it tremendous water-holding capacity.

This sponge is soft, easy to wash and is without odor. It is gently curved at the sides with flat upper and lower surfaces.

COMMON CONCERNS

Dark Particles / Specks:

After harvesting from the ocean, sea sponges are often covered in black slime and contain natural sea debris, such as particles of sand, shell, or other marine materials, embedded in their structure.

Despite careful processing, some particles may remain lodged in the sponge canals, so it is always important to inspect sea sponges prior to use.

These small dark particles, often mistaken for organic remnants or dirt, are natural materials like sea debris or flecks of dried seaweed and are not a cause for concern.

Uneven Coloration / "Burn" Marks:

Sea sponges naturally vary in shape and color. The color variations, which can range from bright yellow to dark grey or orange-brown, result from minerals absorbed from the sea.

These differences are normal and do not indicate inferior quality; they reflect the natural beauty of the sea sponge, and there is no need for concern.

Proper maintenance, such as avoiding prolonged dampness and allowing sponges to air dry naturally after use, is recommended to enhance their longevity and preserve their natural appearance.

Sponge Hardness and Sizes:

When delivered, sea sponges will feel hard and dry and may measure smaller than expected.

Please note that sea sponges are sized when wet and subject to some shrinkage when dried and packaged.

To return them to their natural size, fully saturate sponges with water and squeeze a few times. Once rehydrated, they will become soft and restored back to their full size.

There are several different styles, sizes, and works well for paint projects. They are a bit stiff but once they are wetted down they soften up. The different textures are perfect for the craft painting I do.

Overall these sponges have held up great! My two boys have had a lot of fun using them in different water sensory tables. The only downside is the amount of particles that “shed” from the sponges. That only happened the first couple times of use and then they were fine. We will continue using these for many other fun activities.

The sponges are all different sizes and work very well for texturizing. They rinse easily & hold up quite well. I haven’t had to toss any even after frequent use. Great price for good products. They also work well for removing excess paint from your painting.
