Great price for a solid wood spinner. Looks even better when stained. Moves well in the wind.

This is a really perfectly made piece of art. I did spray it with clear lacquer which gives it a slightly warmer glow. I watch it many times each day.

This looks great outside hanging and is an awesome gift to give. I love the natural wood and color of wood-it’s clean. It functions well and is light Weight and a pleasure and I enjoy watching it spin.

Easy to assemble. Works like it's supposed to, but being out in the rain and weather of Florida takes a toll.

Love this spinner, it was easy to twist into shape and nice addition to my patio. I plan to paint it with a flower design.

I hung my spinner in a tree outside of my window. It’s just a really nice piece of crafting. I like that it’s made in USA, all wood, so natural. I’m sure the wood will age being outside. It is assembled and packed flat, so just needs the pieces fanned out. I followed the picture on the packaging. It has kept its shape just fine through some really strong winds. But best of all, it is very pleasing to watch turning in the wind. And even little breezes get it spinning. I would buy another one.

These old-fashioned wind spinners are hard to find -- an acquaintance of mine has a couple of large ones that probably date from the 1960s or possibly much, much earlier, since they are an example of so-called "Tramp Art", which is a beautiful genre of American folk art which remains little-known, and under-appreciated (unfortunately). Traditionally these "Tramp-Art" wind spinners come in different shapes and sizes -- some are long and thin, others are shorter and wide, but all that I have seen retain the beautiful helix shape. I would strongly recommend that anyone who loves American folk art do some research on Tramp Art -- it is intriguing and lovely and still influences decorative crafts today. Enjoy this wind spinner as an example of this tradition. I keep mine indoors for safe keeping, as an example of a tradition that I love. The workmanship is excellent and the honey-gold color of the pine wood has a faint sheen that is captivating. I would never paint it, as a painted design would detract from the purity of the design. I might give it a light coat of varnish, but that's all. Mine is hanging indoors next to the wind chimes that make such a lovely random melody that brightens my day. Oh, also -- manufacturer has supplied a hanging-hook which allows the piece to twirl like one of Alexander Calder's mobiles. Lovely, and now one of my favorite decorative items. Enjoy this reasonably-priced -- and priceless -- piece of Americana.
