Update 2/26/19: is fine, these rocks are purple and the fish love it. I have run into no issues at all. Still happy.Ps, please over look the typos below. Stupid autocorrect...Good clean rock. My other tank, a 30 gallon, I used a mix of rocks. I used some pukini live rock, Fiji live rock, Tonga branch, a piece from the local fish store and some dry base rock such as this, from another online merchant. The base dry rock matured the same as the other types of rock and looks fine. When I first opened the box and pulled these rocks out I felt a high degree of sadness come over me because I had realized these rocks were harvested from a dead coral bed from dry dead corals that were once long ago alive beautiful and had once flourished with life in beautiful fish and other creatures from the sea but now they are dead and fossilized in this piece of Rock. As you may know the coral reefs in the ocean are slowly dying and being destroyed by shipping boats amongst other things. But the more I thought about it a wave of happiness came over me because I soon realized that these dead rocks and fossilized pieces of coral are going to be brought back to life as I rejuvenate them with more beautiful corals and fish. Alive again in a small 60 gallon habitat. This base rock is really dead coral. Not concrete, as another reviewer said. If you look close enough you can actually see little pieces of dead coral and seashells in these rocks. They are porous and have many cavities, not to mention the variety of sizes from small to large. For a 55 gallon tank, these are great. My new tank is a 60 gallon in fees will fit the tank just fine like others have said be sure to take these out back and give them a good wash with the hose because they are pretty dirty from the warehouse. I wouldn't wash these in the sink or in the bathtub because when you're wincing these off small bits of rock will come off and I would be afraid they would clog up the drains to be sure and rinsed he's outside. This is really amazing Rock for a price you just cannot beat and with Amazon Prime services or free shipping it's a deal you cannot pass up play season your tank get another piece of live rock to seed and you're good to go. What's even better since this is dried dead Rock there is no need to worry about all the nasty hitchhikers that might accompany live pieces of rock from your local fish store or other online retailers.Bottom line is I am 100% satisfied and if someday I decide to upgrade to another larger tank I will be sure to buy more of this.

GREAT! I got more than 40lbs of dry rock and used it to aquascape my 32 gallon BioCube.DELIVERY :I got this item delivered as expected from the Amazon delivery time frame. When I got the box, I had a tall rectangular brown box that was delivered to me from UPS. The package had little to mild bends/scratches on the box. This is not a issue at all, since the package weighed over 40lbs and was still protected when received. I had a little bit of dry rock dust on the sides of the package from where it was not taped. Again, this is not an issue for me. This is something that is expected due to the weight and size of the package, and I was surprised that it didn't come to me more damaged than the original condition it was received. The interior box had a giant plastic bag covering all of the rocks. You can bearly tell if there was any shipping damage to the dry rocks, since there were so many pieces from large, medium, to small. I still had tons of dry rock for me to aquascape, so I was as happy as a clam when I received this package.PRICE :I LOVE the PRICE and the QUANTITY of this order. I was looking for other listings for dry rock and they were either TOO expensive or had TOO LITTLE rocks in their orders. I randomly landed on this supplier and boy was I glad to pick this up. At $45 dollars including tax, you can't go wrong with this setup. It has TONS of rocks of all shapes and sizes. This gives you the opportunity to aquascape until your hearts content. Sizes that were large were definitely heavy and sizes that were medium to small were of decent size and weight. They are very true and porous as well. Great deal in my opinion.QUALITY :The rocks are POROUS , which makes it VERY EASYto AQUASCAPE. I didn't have to use any glue, or putty to stick them together. I don't use any of this (or need to), since this will be problematic if I had to move the rocks around in the future for clearing detritus or re-scaping for different environments for corals, invertebrates, or aesthetics. I saw some people stating in OTHER reviews that some of these dry rocks are fake or made of some phony concrete , which is why there is a lot of "chalk" / "dust", but I can tell that this is TRUE dry rock from the Atlantic ocean. There are some rocks that had some browning on them, which you can only see in real dry rocks. There were so many large sizes that I was able to break them down to medium chunks by putting a chisel and hammer to them. I even had some rocks left-over in the end, because I had so much choice when I aquascaped my rocks. My Biocube is very limited on horizontal space, so I can only stack them high. I can only imagine the use of all these rocks to make beautiful islands to long aquascapes on longer tanks.OVERALL:Overall , I am very happy with this purchase and I am very glad that I did not spend a dime more for lesser weights on dry rocks, or 2-3 large chunks. The variability of these rocks is my main reason for the purchase and I am so glad I purchased this. Hobby for salt water Aquariust can become very expensive, so to minimize your cost on such things like these to get MORE FOR LESS and QUALITY is definitely a win. I won't hesitate to come back to this company if I needed more dry-rock. I have too much dry rock as of this moment, so the best I can say is to pass the deals on to you in this review. You won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't.You can search my unboxing or Biocube updates at "Pandanese90" on Youtube.

From reading the previous reviews, there were some that reported the rock needed a lot of cleaning but for the price, I thought I'd take a chance. The price was hard to beat compared to some of my local aquarium stores. I paid about $1.30 per lb. which was pretty amazing. The rock arrived fairly quickly thanks to Amazon Prime. The rocks themselves looked great with the exception that most of the holes and pores were filled with what looked like dry, hard sand. I soaked several of the large pieces in buckets of water for 2-3 days to try and loosen the sand but I didn't have much luck. I scrubbed them with a nylon brush, chipped at the holes using an ice pick, this "sand" was almost like a concrete slurry that was allowed to dry in the holes and it didn't want to come out. I finally hit the rocks with a pressure washer to try and blast the sand off and out of the rocks. While this helped, it didn't provide the end result I expected from the pictures.I contacted Amazon and they were quick to replace my original order, free of charge. The second box arrived quickly and the rock looked much better, just like the pictures. It was dusty (to be expected) and after a rinse in my deep sink, was good to go.Pros - Great price and good looking rocks. Nice large pieces with little to no breakage in the boxCons - Quality control a bit lacking from order to order
