I was looking for a cheap spyglass for a halloween costume and i thought this would be fine for the price. it was so much better than expected! The outside looks like antiqued brass and has a small brass emblem on it that makes it look like an antique. I does a decent job of magnifying as well and the clarity surprised me.The little holster it comes with has a loop so it can be attached to a belt. (*NOTE* I ADDED THE STAR BROOCH IT DOES NOT COME THIS WAY)It's perfect for my Mer-pirate costume but would also be a fun decoration for a beach themed room and would make a great kid's toy.

I returned the telescopes because they were not strong enough for my purposes, however, I was very pleased with the sturdiness, construction, and good value they offered. I purchased two more powerful ones.
