The Navaris fiberglass rope can be used on glass doors to seal and cushion the edges. Likewise, the tape can also be used as a gasket around fire doors or anywhere to seal in smoke and heat.
HOW TO INSTALL
Cut tape with sharp scissors or knife to length needed. Note correct seal placement - we recommend taking a photo with old seal in place as reference. Remove old seal. Clean surface. Tuck new seal in place and/or use glue (not included) to secure.
NOTE
- The product is not designed to be exposed directly to an open flame.

good rope. only thing to note is that the fine fibres irritate your hands after you have been handling it for a while. But not a major problem. They wash off.

Employé pour carreau de porte de feu à bois Godin. Le joint est très bien mais attention la colle fournie ne maintient pas le joint instantanément. J'ai procédé de cette façon: bien nettoyer la gorge ou va le joint, un coup de laine de verre et nettoyage acétone. Mettre la colle sur l'emplacement du joint sur la porte. Attendre 5mn et mettez en place le joint 10cm par 10cm tout enmaintenant à chaque fois la partie que vous encollez.

Bought it on a whim hoping it would work, turns out it’s a little bigger them 3/8 but gives the stove a better seal than the original one when it was new

It is very nice gasket material, but it is not the size advertised. I've bought three different sizes that aren't close to the stated size. The gaskets have all been a full size or more larger than stated. This 38" is actually over 12", the 12" is actually larger than 58" and the 58" was nearly 78". You need to guess what smaller dimension will be the size you require.I suggest that the seller get a caliper to actually measure this stuff.

This rope came in an open baggie with no markings. I ordered 3/8inch but tiny sticker that said made in China had 5mm and 10mm on it. It was larger than the 3/8" that we had used before.DO NOT PURCHASE. Looked like the guy next door just cut a hunk of rope and put it in a cheap baggie that didn't fit.
