I read the reviews about how the drawer only comes halfway out, bought it anyway, and am not disappointed. Hard to find this much quality at this sort of low price point. Drawer action is very smooth. I'm satisfied, and thanks to the accurate reviews, not surprised or disappointed. For my application, which is storing small cables and accessories, this drawer works very well.

I needed a place to store some cables in my server closet and this drawer was great. Besides storing the cables it has a lock so now I can store other more valuable items such as the keys to the servers and access to the power supply and many other useful things. Very strong, very commercial like product, I love it

This rack drawer is built like a safe. I was looking for a small rack drawer to toss odds and ends in within a small 6U effects rack. While it fits perfectly, it does add notable weight. Its very well made. Heavy steal with a real key lock. I'm guessing it's impossible to break into once locked. It's THAT good.

Drawer works great. It's heavier than I realized it would be. For most applications this is probably a bonus. If you have it in a stationary rack you probably want super heavy duty and it certainly feels well made, but I'm using it in a portable airplane case and wish it were lighter. Nevertheless, I can't fault the product for my inability to imagine just how much heavier my case would feel with an additional 13lbs of drawer in it. Just know, if you're putting this in something you have to lug around, it weighs way more any any of my 1U components.Also, I read the reviews complaining about it not pulling out all the way and didn't think it would bother me for my application, but I have to admit, even though it's still usable, there have already been several times I wished it would pull out more. I can't figure out for the life of me why you'd make a drawer that only pulls out half way.

Well constructed, sturdy, and operates with a very good positive feel, will not slide out on its own accord which is excellent for use in a transportable 6U rack.Tray slides out a very acceptable 7.5 inches, which easily accommodates a keyboard. If it came out further it would not be as stable or tip when applying pressure and resting hands on the keyboard. Very pleased with this product.

When the product arrived the drawer would not open. Turned out all the screws from the left side of the draw rail were off and had lodged themselves in the sliding mechanism internally. And then half the screws and nuts were missing from the other side as well. After working on freeing all the screws, washers and nuts I was finally able to open the drawer and take it completely apart and put it all back together again.The unit is in fine condition and was not damaged, but I had to basically build the unit and spend time fixing it. Just something I did not expect. I'm not really blaming anyone and can only assume the drawer mechanism worked loose from shipping/storage, etc. Other than that the product is as I expected and is what I needed. As a utility drawer it will serve a good purpose in my audio rig!
