What are knitting stitch markers?

Knitting Stitch Markers are designed with closed/open loops or rings. They are placed on your knitting needle and slide from one to the other as you knit.

How to Use?

Placed to mark groups of cast on stitches, such as counting off every 25 or 50 stitches are they are cast on the needles

Placed between sections of stitch patterns to mark the beginning and end of each section. This makes it easy to review more complicated patterns like lace and cable, to make sure they are knitted correctly before moving on to the next section

A single stitch marker, called the Beginning of Round, is used to mark the first stitch when knitting in the round e.g. for hats, socks and sweaters

Its a great idea. I do need a product that to mark numbers like this. But the materials are so cheap, they are diffficult to work with. The clasps are super lightweight and don't stay aligned when you close them. They also have sharper edges along the inside so when you are adding a stitch marker through a stitch, it catches a little as you put it on. The beads are all cheap plastic ones and some have irregularities in the painting/printing. They are like the kind that come in cheap kids kits, that the paint rubs off of really easily. They are also just so lightweight that it makes my brain confused. Holding a bunch of them in your hand feels about the same weight and texture as a handful of Cheerios which is just weird

I love the idea of numbered stitch markers. It gets annoying at times to have to keep counting rows. I use them for row counts, row repeats and sometimes stitch counts. They are cute and easy to use. Quality could be better. The bead strand separates from the claw clasp at times and I have to reattach. Other than that, they are functional and helpful.

These are great little row counters. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the clasps don’t seem to connect correctly without a little extra effort. Not a big problem; but something to take note of. Otherwise, they do the trick.

I would have given these a 5, but I had to fix a couple of the markers because the beads were loose. Lucky for me, I know how to do that - it just needed a wire beading plier.

Aside from the fact that I have double 3’s for a missing 4 and an upside down 2… these work as expected.
