The hex head on these bolts looked strange when I got them, almost like they are formed sheet metal bent into the shape of the screw head and stuck on top of the screw. That’s not a good description, but it’s the best I can think of. They seemed to work fine until tightened when the hex head rounds out. They may be fine for applications where they are meant to be screwed in and never removed but not for use for lathe chuck jaws that need to be torqued relatively tight and changed frequently.

These screws are fine but they are not interchangeable with Nova. Same thread and length, but the head is smaller with ground edges. These will fit the Nova jaws but the nova screw heads are too big to fit these jaws. I ground a Nova screw down to see if that was the only problem and it was. My recommendation is to buy a bunch of these instead of the Nova screws. They are just as good and cheaper.
