Used to complete a condenser mic kit I bought off ebay that wasn't quite up to snuff, now audio comes through fairly clearly and at a registerable volume. Ideal for beginning podcasting and voice recording as part of a budget XLR setup, especially over some of those cheap USB sound dongles which the mic kit originally came with.

I had purchased the newer 700 mic kit without this amp previously. The microphone sound is very good with the XLR to 3/8" audio jack cable without any amplification. Or so I thought. When this amp went on lightning deal, I decided to buy it to try out. Since I was satisfied with the microphone without amplification I didn't really expect much of a difference. I was impressed with the stark improvement.I figured out that with this amp, the boost in microphone volume was substantial enough so that I could lower the overall input volume. This lowered the background volume and hiss that the mic was picking up for which I had been filtering out via software. With this amp however, software noise filtering is no longer needed and the combination of amp and microphone is now rivalling my friends professional mic that I was borrowing which cost him a couple hundred dollars. We did a side by side test and his professional microphone did sound better but not $300 better. The combo of the Neewer 700 and 48V power supply makes this a good deal even if it's not on sale.

Just what my condenser needed. The audio comes out so clear with this phantom. Connects directly to my computer so it's super easy to use and set up. The cords it comes with are so long! This gives me so much more space to work with so everything is not jumbled close together. Light and tiny with secure plug ins. Very reliable and works very well.

my biggest and only issue with this microphone is that when the mic is plugged into the amp, and the amp is plugged into my pc with the usb and then the mic input itself, i get a nonstop super obnoxious whistling sound.now maybe im just dumb and dont know how on earth to get this to work right (and if i am please help me lmfao), but whenever i plug in my neewer nw700 microphone to the amp and then plug in the usb power to my pc, i get nothing but obnoxious whistling sounds constantly. the sound goes away once i turn the amp off and my mic sounds like a solid 10/10, however my mic loses power shortly after.ive been told by nearly everyone that the sound only happens when wires are crossed but thats not my case since non of my wires cross at all.

I don't know if it's just the one I got or not, but the output volume is the same whether this is on or off. I tried installing new drivers, reinstalling drivers, adjusting every setting on my PC but nothing seems to boost the output. At full volume I can barely hear the playback.Update: I just replaced this with another product that was only $10 more and works perfectly. I can now heard my own playback crisp and clear. I don't know if I am allowed to say which product, but it is also USB powered and does a wonderful job.

This phantom is powered through a usb cable so I can connect it directly to my computer so that I record right from it since my mic is powered through the phantom. Solid middleman and powerhouse supply. The three pinned xlr cable for the mic is easy to put in and out and I can do it without fraying the wiring inside with the tabs to release it from the plugs. Very reliable for using with my condenser mic.

Stays connected and plugged in tightly to my computer and sound card. Simple to set up and accurately condenses audio, no noise feedback. Awesome phantom, has really improved my sound quality.

It does work, and less than $20 I don't think it will have many drawbacks. Of course, I don't think it's right to ask too many requests for such a low-priced but well-made product. Honestly, I only need it to work properly. It did, it was a very simple phantom power supply. No instructions are required, just look at it a little. The power is stable and there is no heat to ensure safety. So, think about its price, it's worth your try.
