Can't be both stainless steel as stated in the photos, and aluminum as stated in the description. I wrote the company and they said it was stainless and they would fix the listing. A magnet doesn't stick to the frame, so it isn't plain steel.It has a loose fit so starlink rattles.I stopped the rattle using a thin piece of closed cell foam under one edge.For a fiberglass roof you will need to stick on some metal patches, which are not included. I had some from UGreen but they were on the thin side. Thin metal saturates with the magnets so for full force, you need more steel.The idea metal pad is the thickness of a 3" galvanized bolt washer (or a decorative samson strong-tie washer) held down with 3M VHB tape.If the roof is curved, you will have to loosen all the feet so that they are tangential to the curved surface, then use nylocs or loktite and gently snug them down. This way the feet will be parallel to the roof surface and not pulling up on one of the metal pads.

The steel case fits the starlink mini perfectly and the magnets are super strong, but when mounted using only the magnets, the angle is wrong for proper alignment, using the kickstand negates the use of 2 magnets and barely engages the other 2.

This thing is a beast if you have a metal roof. It had no issues at 75 MPH. The magnets are very strong, so if you get this don't let go of it at any height as it could potentially dent your roof, especially in the middle. I mounted this to the rear of the cab of my truck, so I am sure far easier installed then say middle of the roof of a SUV etc. Do make sure to clean the area you want to place this, so the rubber pads on each of the magnets, doesn't have any kind of a slippery surface. Even dirt will allow these to move. All it has to do is release 1 magnet and it will be gone. Made of Stainless steel and heavy, and good quality. Mini went right in and secure. I did add some rubber pads to the sides to reduce movement and scratches of the dish. Very snug after. I would also suggest getting magnetic hold downs for the wire to the dish, to keep it from vibrating in the wind. The rubber pads to fill the gaps that allow the mini to wiggle a bit, should of been included, at this price point. At first was going to use foam, but foam will deteriorate over time, so rubber was a better item to use. Foam doesn't really mesh with outside.

Some play side to side I used 3m auto moulding tape to secure it from moving works great decent strength magnets
