Crap. Doesnt fit on the gr iii

it looks like something more expensive, build quality seems great, will see how long it will last but right off the bat it seems like a great purchase, would deffo buy again

So to start with, this filter looks EXACTLY like the JJC version, even the packaging and its contents but quite more expensive… The JJC costs 19€ and the Neewer 26€. I suspect the manufacturer is the same and each brand labels the filter differently. Personally I’ve got the Neewer because it’s new and by the time of this review, everyone has the JJC.I also decided to get it because I use Neewer filters on my DJI Mini 3 Pro and I’ve seen no degradation on the image quality so I do trust the coatings are good on this filter. On my tests so far, I see no difference on the images.HOWEVER. There are 2 camps regarding sticking filters in the front of the GR 3/X… The ones that advise against it as the glue is very strong and there have been cases that the owner stripped the whole front lens plastic ring or even mechanical assembly when trying to forcely remove the filter. Folks advise to use dental floss and work carefully between the filter and the camera lens to remove the glue. I don’t know what happens with the residue and if it can clean up easily with alcohol or it will leave any permanent damage from trying to clean it. Neewer offers a thin cable with 2 finger rings to be able to do this (JJC also). That’s a nice touch nevertheless. Haven’t tried it, don’t know if it will work but Neewer seems to believe it does so I will have to agree as I haven’t experienced it personally.On the other hand, there are people like me that do not intend to remove the filter in the future and prefer to protect the leaf and lens front element from scratches & fingerprints or even damage from accidental bumps. The other known issue of the GR series is dust reaching the sensor from any opening, mainly from the vacuum created when the lens extends when powering-on or collapses when powering-off. As the lens is not removable, this means sending it back to Ricoh for an (expensive) service…In any case, dust particles can ingress from the lens itself and to clean that little glass element without leaving lint & residue from the cloth is also not so easy as it is not very exposed and easy to reach. Using a blower to remove those particles can further push dust getting between the plastic nooks and crannies that form the aforementioned extending lens and leaf. Cleaning a flat filter will always be easier and safer than trying to clean the lens glass element itself.Lastly, I used a slightly different method for installing the filter, perhaps this “tip” can also make the installation easier for you :)Instead of trying to line-up the filter with the camera powered off as described in the instructions, I turned the camera on and left it on its back with the now extended lens barrel looking up. Then grabbing the filter with my index and thumb fingers in both hands slowly aligned the filter when lowering it, feeling the lens barrel edges along the way. I only let it sit when sure that it is aligned properly and only put downwards pressure to engage the glue strip when sure that no additional micro adjustments were necessary. Before applying any real pressure, be sure to power off the camera to avoid exerting force onto the extended lens. If you fail on your 1st attempt and the filter doesn’t move, don’t force it, remove it using the supplied tool and reapply a NEW glue strip. Neewer includes 2 additional ones in case you mess up.Until Ricoh decides to offer a GR 4 weather sealed, this is a good option unless if you don’t mind the extra bulk of adding a filter kit/tube extender that will make the camera less pocketable.

Anche con un uso frequente e esposizione a situazioni potenzialmente abrasive, il vetro ha mantenuto la sua integrità, proteggendo così la mia lente da danni permanenti. L'anello adesivo del filtro è stato un dettaglio pratico e ben progettato. La facilità con cui ho potuto applicare e rimuovere il filtro ha reso l'utilizzo molto comodo. Inoltre, l'anello adesivo non ha lasciato residui o segni sulla mia lente, garantendo un'applicazione senza problemi. Lo strumento per la rimozione del filtro incluso è stato un tocco premuroso. La sua presenza ha reso la manutenzione e la pulizia del filtro un processo agevole. Ho potuto rimuovere e pulire il filtro senza rischiare di danneggiare la lente della mia fotocamera. La compatibilità precisa con la mia fotocamera è stata un punto forte. L'anello filettato si è adattato perfettamente alla mia lente senza compromettere l'estetica o la funzionalità della fotocamera. La facilità di installazione ha reso l'uso del filtro accessibile anche per chi, come me, non è un esperto. In conclusione, questo filtro di protezione UV si è rivelato un complemento eccellente per la mia fotocamera. La qualità del vetro, la resistenza ai graffi, l'idrorepellenza e la facilità d'uso lo rendono un accessorio indispensabile per proteggere la lente della fotocamera e migliorare la qualità delle immagini.

Die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei und der Filter sehr hochwertig.Das Anbringen ist sehr einfach und schnell gemacht. Der Klebering ist sehr gut und hält den Filter sicher am Objektiv - deshalb wird auch das Entfernungswerkzeug dazugelegt.Die Eigenschaften eines UV-Filters werden hier natürlich eingehalten und sind auch sehr gut.
