Just what I needed to connect the new cooktop. It was fairly easy to work with although not quite Eaton quality. Also not Eaton price.

This plug is well built and solid enough for me to believe it will do the job. However you must understand it doesn't have any certifications such as UL or CSA. I never check to see those available from hardware stores has such certification or not but the price tag for sure is very different.

I use this to connect my 220v tools like an air compressor or welder into my mobile home plug in. Yes, my house plugs into an outlet on a power pole. Fortunately I don't have to climb it to answer the phone like 'green acres'. Works fine.

There is no way to get two 6-Gauge "hot" wires and two 4-Gauge wires into the strain relief outlet on this plug, I didn't try wiring it, but actually connecting the wires would seem impossible also.In my case the wire I need to connect to this plug is two 6 gauge, and two 8 gauge. The ground in my wire is uninsulated and would short out every connection in this plug. I don't see how you use this plug to with correct wire sizes. (other reviews confirm this).
