I wish I would have bought this year's ago. I pulled the old house out of the garage this spring while it was still a bit chilly outside. Needless to say, with a chill still in the air, the old hose would not uncoil at all. I immediately said enough was enough and ordered this unit. I'm so glad I did as it's fantastic. The pressure of the water is great with the 5/8" hose. It pulls out easily & doesn't twist up at all. The real benefit of the unit is how easily it rewinds itself neatly into the storage unit.

The house we just moved into had one hose system just like this in the front of the home but it didn’t extend long enough to the back of the home. We wanted to try and find a similar working on and came across this one. It works exactly the same if not even smoother! It doesn’t leak unlike the original one that comes with the home, and is very smooth when pulling out longer or releasing back to the hose stand. It’s been great and would recommend!

My first test of using it for watering seemed to go well. It was easy to pull out and retract. I don't have a large house so I don't need a 100+ foot reel, but I wanted something that would be handy for watering. I almost bought a 100 foot heavy duty reel at Costco but was concerned about the size. I bought it here and it turned out to be a good buy. It was easy to install and the look matches my house.

I hope that the quality of the hose is not due to the disappointment of finding that the hose has become hard and kinked over time. It is still unknown how this product will perform in the long term, but the overall quality looks good. My biggest complaint is that it seems to deliberately misrepresent the size of the hose. Is that my feeling? Actually, it has not been useless so far due to insufficient capacity, but I may mutter a few words when I fill a large container with water for the first time. I want to try it and should use a shorter hose, but then I gave up. I don't think I am a professional.

My last one was a hand crank, this auto retract is awesome, my system works great even when the weather gets really hot. It's easy to reassemble and tighten. Once the weather gets cooler, I bet it will never come apart because it will shrink tighter. It has never leaked or come apart since I tightened everything down. . It is not designed to high pressure blow dirt off a truck or pressure wash a patio. It can be used to water a garden or sprinkle a small yard. Also, the nozzle can be easily changed to a sprinkler.

Used it I think the water pressure is actually better. So far it has not leaked, I noticed that when I pull the hose out there is a blast of water coming out of the nozzle when it is locked. I have tried tightening it a bit and that may have helped but it only happens when the hose is locked in place. I chose this hose reel I don't think it is a heavy duty hose reel so I hope it will last a while. I mainly use it to water my plants and wash my car occasionally so I guess it should be good
