I like this product, but be warned that it doesn't fit every single trombone slide out there. The picture I attached has four slides right next to each other; from left-to-right, they are as follows: 1) Olds Super, 2) Yamaha 600 series (exact number unknown), 3) Conn 88H, 4) A cheap Chinese bass trombone.This guard fit all of my trombones except for the bass trombone. I haven't tried it on any other basses as I only own one, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't fit a lot of other basses out there. Because it didn't fit on my bass, I just cut up some Velcro and put it on that slide; I know a lot of a purists out there will get mad at that and say it's severely dampening my sound, but frankly, I don't care.I would highly recommend that everyone get these since they're so cheap and protect a commonly damaged part of the instrument. I took a star off because I think they should be more direct about the fact that it's not guaranteed to fit all trombones. If you think it's going to fit on a contrabass trombone slide, then you're a special kind of stupid, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect it to fit a bass trombone slide, so I was surprised when it didn't fit mine. And yes, it'll fit an alto trombone slide; the fabric is tight enough and I was able to put one on mine.

We bought this for our 5th grader's new trombone. I had it on in 10 seconds and it has provided valuable protection for his slide. His band instructor was very impressed with it too.

Not so easy put on. Fits nice, light weight. Protective compare to extra metal strip, rubber knob....Horns need better design bow integrated bumper guards.

普段はトランペット吹きなので、最近購入したバルブトローンボーンを吹奏練習すと、トローンボーンの長さを忘れて、先端と後端を物にあてる事が多く、へこまないうちにこのガードを装着。お陰様で、今のところ凹みは発生していません。

Light, unobtrusive, stops me from bashing my slide into my music stand. Or at least reduces the damage when I do.

When I hit the chair in front of me, at least the slide bow doesn't get dented. Great fit and the only slide bow protector that fits large bore trombones that I'm aware of.
